IFA, Berlin, 25 August 2001 -- DVD video with Dolby Digital Sound, TV reception and super fast DVD navigation: Pioneer adds a new dimension to audio-visual entertainment in cars.
The multimedia components available in August 2001 leave no wish unanswered: From a pure navigation system all the way to a state-of-the-art combination with Dolby Digital and monitors in the back with the new Pioneer program every combination is possible. With a choice of 5 different LCD displays, 3 AV-masters, 3 DVD players, 5 multimedia CD-tuners, a TV-receiver and a DVD navigation system, the program offers a great deal of flexibility. Thanks to their future-proof data bus system, all of these devices can be combined. Naturally the new digital radio (DAB) is one of the available options.
The AVX-P7300 DVD - a new highlight combining a DVD player and 7" display Motor-driven - it travels out of the DIN compartment. If only one compartment is available, the device can be combined with an AV-master, which - hidden in the trunk or under the seats - serves simultaneously as the central system control, a RDS receiver and amplifier and receives its commands from a remote control via the AVX-P7300DVD. If the car has two DIN compartments, it is also possible to connect one of the Pioneer car radios that supports multimedia. Regardless of the combination selected, the control functions for navigation, TV, CD-changer and digital radio receiver keep your options open for expanding the system.
Rear Seat Entertainment In the last years, there has been a rapid increase in the market for what are known as 'Rear Seat Entertainment' combinations, which - as the name implies - only provide entertainment for the passengers in the rear. These systems are by no means only of interest for chauffeured limousines. Giving the children in the back the chance to watch videos or to connect and use game consoles or video cameras can greatly reduce the stress of making longer trips with them! For this purpose, Pioneer offers several displays, which can be built into the backs of the headrests or mounted to the roof of the vehicle, a video switching unit plus both a DVD player and a changer that can be used independently.
